PRODUCT GROUP EXAMPLES:
Apart from dyestuffs, polymers and
agrochemicals discussed elsewhere, the group of organic chemicals include:
Organic acids: amino acids, salicylic acid, citric acid, maleric acid, and
ascorbic acid
Organic salts: phthalates, stearates, salicylates, benzoates,
butyrates, gluconates, lactates, saccarates, sorbates and many others
Nitrogen-containing compounds, which include hydrazines, chloramines and
ureas
The majority of organic chemicals that are in solid form at atmospheric
conditions can be transformed to powders or granulates. The feed material can
be present as a solution, a suspension of crystals, or as solids. The latter,
as fatty acids and waxes, can after melting, be turned into prills in a spray
congealing operation, see "Spray Cooled Products".
Solutions and slurries of fine crystals can be dried to free flowing
products in a Spray Dryer, or to coarse granulates ( 1- 2 mm ) in a Spray
Fluidizer.
Cakes of crystals from filters or decanters can be gentle dried and cooled
in Fluid Beds.
We offer a broad range of technology and tailor-made applications to meet
the various property requirements in organic chemicals.
